There’s nothing like the threat of a heavy snow to get kids all excited about possibly missing school. When the good news finally comes that classes have been canceled, it’s quite a euphoric feeling for the little ones. Luke Bryan knows that very well, so he decided to film his boys and a few of their pals when he and wife Caroline told them they’d be getting a snow day.
We’re guessing Luke’s house was full of boys since the kids already had Monday off from school because of the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday. Even though the sun had set on their playtime, the boys were still amped up as Luke and Caroline tried to get them all to sit down for the big announcement.
You can hear Caroline trying to wrangle them all while Luke holds the camera. They’re all trying to guess what the big announcement will be when she says to one of them, “Hey Sherlock Holmes, go sit down!”
The kids are guessing that there’s no school as Luke and Caroline try to get them all settled in a row.
One of the kids says, “I see it snowing,” and that’s when Luke says, “There’s no school tomorrow!”
From that point on, it’s nothing but pandemonium. The kids are jumping up and down and screaming with delight. Luke’s caption on this Instagram video, “No school celebration!!!,” is spot on.
The snow came down all Tuesday morning, Jan. 16, in Nashville, and we’re sure Luke and his boys had a blast throwing snowballs. We’re also quite sure that Luke and Caroline are going to need a little rest once the boys finally do get back to school.
Luke is surely soaking up all these moments at home with his boys before he heads down to Mexico this week for his annual Crash My Playa concert vacation experience. The four-day event will take place Jan. 17 through 20 in Riviera Maya, with Luke performing two headlining sets over the course of the mini-festival.
In addition to Luke’s sets, he’s also lined up his pals Blake Shelton and Sam Hunt to headline the other nights. Maren Morris, Ryan Hurd, Brett Young, Dustin Lynch and the Cadillac Three are also slated to perform over the course of the four days. For further details, go to CrashMyPlaya.com.
By the way, this year’s Crash My Playa festival is sold out, so you’ll want to keep an eye out for the 2019 event.
On Feb. 16, Luke heads to Springfield, Missouri, to kick off his “That’s What Makes You Country Tour” with special guests Kip Moore and the Cadillac Three. He’s taking that trek all over North America as well as Australia this year. Luke has shows in Sydney and Melbourne, Australia, this March as well as a headlining appearance at the CMC Rocks QLD festival Down Under on March 18.
