As the country prepares to let its voice be heard in the 2016 presidential election, one Texan found a way to make his voice heard in one simple way.

As reported in the Houston Chronicle, a Texas resident proudly walked into an early voting venue and instead of voting for either Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump or any of the other allowable write-in candidates available for Texans to vote for, he instead wrote in the name “Willie Nelson.”

When he shared the pic on social media, he proclaimed “I was not happy with my choices,” he said. “I wrote in Willie Nelson for president today.”

When someone mentioned that he would be unable to actually vote for good ole Willie, the man responded with “I completely disagree. Willie is a national treasure.”

And while some may agree that Willie might make for quite a worthy choice, the country legend simply doesn’t have the time to take on the biggest job in the country right about now. Willie is still out enjoying the success of his latest album, “For The Good Times: A Tribute To Ray Price,” that was released on Sept. 16.

Willie will also round out 2016 with a bevy of tour dates, including stops in Oklahoma, Texas and Louisiana.
