Looks like Luke Bryan will be “slinging it” for a while longer following his accident Wade Payne/Invision/AP

Talk about rock stars!

When Luke Bryan took a spill on his bicycle and broke his clavicle, he played it off like no big deal. The next day, he showed a photo of his bruised hip that is the most extreme bruise we’ve ever seen, yet he continued to perform all of his shows, arm in a sling, at just a tiny bit more laid back tempo than usual. Fans were treated to the same fun set list and occasional bumps and grinds, but just maybe not quite as many.

Turns out, that injury was much more severe than the country star let on. During his Oct. 8 show as part of his annual Farm Tour, Luke met one of his younger fans who was also in a sling. He brought her onstage and sat with their legs dangling over the side, then asked her to autograph his sling, which she did. How precious is that?

Then he asked, “When is your arm going to be better?” She sweetly replied, “Five weeks.” Luke then replied, “Well, I’m getting surgery in the morning on mine, but I’m old enough to drink, so I’ll be better real quick.”

The injury obviously hasn’t slowed down his schedule or his sense of humor. As Luke went to stand up from where he had been sitting with the little girl, he realized that one arm in a sling and the other holding a mic didn’t give him much to push himself up with. He laughed, mouthed, “I can’t get up,” but did manage to clumsily work his way up, then feigned old age.

Luke then shared a humorous selfie on Oct. 9 on his way to surgery, with who we assume to be his wife, Caroline, driving.

We wish you a speedy recovery, Luke!
