Most people over the age of 21 celebrate their birthdays with a round of shots, so when Carrie Underwood commemorated her hubby, Mike Fisher’s, once-a-year occasion, she did just that — except the power couple’s shots had absolutely nothing to do with alcohol.
In fact, Carrie kicked off Mike’s special day by firing shots out of a cannon!

Yep, you read that right.
On June 5, Mike turned 36 years old. And literally, the “Church Bells” singer made sure it went off with a bang. Heck, she even documented the whole thing on Instagram with a video accompanied by the caption, “For such an occasion, we celebrated by bringing the #boom Happy birthday, Mike! #canon #yeswehaveacanon #ourneighborsloveus”
And if that wasn’t enough, the blonde bombshell also gave her hockey-playing hunk a delicious reindeer-themed cake from IveyCake. She wrote, “The perfect cake for the almost perfect man! @mfisher1212, you are my one and only…my best friend…my better half. Happy birthday!!! I love you! And thanks @iveycakestore and @iveychilders for this creation!!!”
So sweet — pun intended!
Talk about a birthday celebration done right!
On May 30, Carrie wrapped the spring leg of her Storyteller Tour. On June 8, she will perform at the 2016 CMT Music Awards. The reigning CMT Video of the Year award winner also snagged three CMTMA nominations this year for Video of the Year, Female Video of the Year and CMT Performance of the Year.
