Little boy battling cancer gets the surprise of a lifetime from Florida Georgia Line

You could see it in his face and hear it in his voice – and when he was told that he would meet his favorite country duo Florida Georgia Line, you could see firsthand how good news can turn a life around.

Just ask Trevor Tredaway.

First diagnosed with a low grade brain tumor called astrocytoma at just two years of age, Tredaway is a flourishing nine-year-old still fighting the good fight. Three brain surgeries and a positive attitude has kept this lil’ Texan going to school and playing with his friends.

A little support from those friends have gone a long way too.

In fact, Tredaway has his share of famous friends whose unified wishes to “Stay Strong” have kept the adorable boy fighting. But last week, even Tredaway couldn’t believe what happened. During an appearance on the Lonestar 92 radio station, Tredaway and his family received the news that they would get to meet FGL when they come through Texas this August.

“What do you say Trevor?” Tredaway’s mom asked.

“Awesome!” Tredaway shrieked. “I mean, thank you. That’s awesome.”

From all of us at RARE Country, stay strong Trevor and say hello to BK and Tyler for us!
