Little Big Town, Sam Hunt and Chris Stapleton just got the news that every music artist dreams about Associated Press

Before most of the country even wiped the sleep from their eyes this morning, lives and careers of some of the most promising and established country artists were changed thanks to one simple text.

They were officially nominated for a Grammy.

Happy Monday.

Little Big Town, Chris Stapleton and Sam Hunt were just three of the handful of artists to receive that career-altering news on the morning of Dec. 7, grabbing some of the highly coveted all-genre nominations. Additional artists such as Blake Shelton, Ashley Monroe and Kacey Musgraves were also recognized in some of the country specific categories for the 2016 Grammy Awards, which will air live on CBS on Monday, Feb. 15.
