Trent has debuted his new single called “There’s a Girl,” which is a guitar-filled country track that clearly lives up to its title. The song pays homage to girls all the way from Tupelo, Mississippi to the state of Arkansas.

And it’s just another reason for why he earned the “American Idol” crown.

Trent co-penned “There’s a Girl” with writers Jimmy Robbins and Laura Veltz. And while the Mississippian is still working on what he describes as a “country soul” album, it’s uncertain as to whether or not he will include “There’s a Girl” on the highly anticipated freshman debut.
