LeAnn Rimes is telling her story, and she’s not editing out the hard parts.

In her new single and video, “The Story,” LeAnn lets the tears flow as she sings about all of the heartbreak and hard times she’s endured before finding lasting love. It’s not hard to imagine she’s singing about her marriage to actor Eddie Cibrian on this one.

She says in a statement, “‘The Story’ is a song that resonates with me as WE are all a part of one collective, universal story. I fully embrace the journey I am on and have a deeper understanding of how every piece of my story serves a purpose in my evolution as a woman and an artist. This song is not only a love song but also a song of self-acceptance and appreciation for life.”

If you’re a fan of LeAnn’s living in the U.S., you’ll have to make arrangements to import a copy of her upcoming album, “Remnant.”

“The Story” is the lead single from that project, which is being released in the U.K. on Oct. 28. LeAnn has signed a record deal with RCA’s United Kingdom division to capitalize on her European success over the years. A U.S. release of the album is expected to follow, but no firm release date has been set.
