There is no greater bond than the love a father has for his son ? just ask Lady Antebellum’s Charles Kelley, whose son Ward is growing up before our eyes.

And now, Charles is realizing more than ever the feelings his father had all those years ago, as Charles himself was growing up in a flash.

It makes all those memories and moments that much sweeter and stronger when Charles now sees his dad teaching the same lessons he learned as a kid to little Ward, who turned 2 earlier this month.

Grandfathers hold a special place and have a very special job to do, including ? but not limited to ? teaching their grandsons the appropriate golf technique. Remember, golf is a big deal in the Kelley household! These Augusta, Georgia, natives grew up idolizing and attending the Masters in their home city, and they all play, so a proper swing and stance is imperative for little Ward.

But as Charles watched his dad teaching his son how to hold the club, he was overcome with emotion.

?Papa teaching Ward how to hold the golf club properly. Not gonna lie this pic gave me the feels,? he captioned a sweet photo of the moment.

Fans couldn?t get over the moment either. One commented, ?Beautiful memory to cherish for Ward, and probably brings back memories of your dad doing to the same with you.?

?Lucky little guy. He doesn?t even understand how this is the best day,? another fan wrote.

But someday he will, and he?ll be able to remember because Charles took this photo.

Charles himself still hits the course whenever he can! He recently played in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro Am Celebrity Golf Tournament in California.

Looking good, Joe Don Rooney!

And of course, guess who else was there to watch him and cheer Charles on? Little Ward.

So what about Charles? technique? Well, it looks pretty darn good to us, but he could work on having a little more fun.

It won?t be long before Ward is actually old enough to hit the course with Dad and Papa. Charles will really need some tissues then, bless his heart! Meanwhile, Charles is training Ward for a possible future gig as a member of the Lady Antebellum road crew. Check out his adorable practice session …
