We know time flies when you’re having fun, but it seems to fly even faster when there are babies in the house. It seemed like an eternity between when we found out Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott was having twins and their actual Jan. 29 delivery date. And now it’s hard to believe that those tiny little cuties, Betsy Mack and Emory JoAnn, are already a month old. That month flew by in the blink of an eye!
Or lots of blinks for Hillary, who can’t seem to find a chance to actually close her eyes.
The beautiful young mom has shared some light-hearted and humorous posts talking about her sleep deprivation, but on Feb. 25, she shared a joyful post on Instagram saying that she was about to get “an uninterrupted three-hour stretch of sleep for the first time in four weeks. What is life?!?! Hallelujah.”
We sure hope Hillary got that much-needed nap, because now it’s time for a birthday party. A mini party, anyway.
Hillary shared another photo of herself with Betsy and Emory snuggling up as close to her as they can get. She sweetly wishes them “Happy four weeks baby girls. 💕💕” and you almost read it as a whisper.
We get it. If those twins are asleep, we’re sure she’d like to keep it that way for long enough that she can catch a nap, and maybe have a few minutes left to open the baby gifts that are coming in for the family’s celebrity and music industry friends. Because, hey, they’re nice gifts!
Hillary shared a collection of photos of some of the gifts she received from CMT, their Warner Chappell publishers, Red Light Management and the booking agency CAA, along with treasures from fellow artists like Little Big Town and Thompson Square. But it’s a beautiful pair of quilts from Aunt Reba McEntire that are sure to be heirlooms for the girls. They are embroidered with the girl’s names and birth date and signed “Love, Reba.”
Hillary thanked everyone for the precious gifts and said, “We feel so loved by an incredible village of friends and family.”
Remember, Reba and Hillary’s mother, Linda Davis, are great friends who sang and toured together for years, and also recorded the award-winning duet, “Does He Love You.”
We’re wishing Betsy Mack and Emory JoAnn a happy one-month birthday, but we’re also sending some big love to Hillary, Chris and four-year-old big sister Eisele Kaye. Here’s hoping for nights of sweet slumber in the very near future.
