Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott is stepping out on faith, literally, to release her brand-new, faith-inspired album with her mom, dad and sister — collectively known as Hillary Scott & The Scott Family. It’s titled “Love Remains,” and you can hear the incredibly vulnerable lead single, “Thy Will,” in this just-released video.

Hillary was inspired to write “Thy Will” after going through a recent, heartbreaking experience.

Though she’s not going into specifics about that heartbreak just yet, Hillary says, “His song is my letter to God. As I ask some really hard questions, I hold onto the truth that there is so much to the story of my life that I can’t see, but that I still choose to trust Him.”

The concept for “Love Remains” began when Hillary’s dad, Lang Scott, suggested they make a family album of hymns to send to family and friends.

“It was all around my grandfather’s diagnosis/battle from cancer,” Hillary explains. After praying about it, she reached a decision pretty quickly.

She adds, “I came back really feeling [that] if I’m going to do this, I want the whole world to hear this.”

Hillary is excited to share both the joy and hurt she’s experienced in her spiritual journey in this music.

“These songs are how I get through every part of my life,” Hillary explains. “The good times. The bad times. The fun times. The hardest of times. These are the songs that are talking about the source of where my peace comes from.”
