Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott has some big words for a little angel in her life Instagram/@hillaryscottla

Are you a big sister or a big brother? Or even a middle sister or brother? Do you remember when that younger sibling arrived in your home? We imagine most parents prepare their existing children well in advance of a new sibling arriving, and even try to create an air of excitement around the baby’s arrival.

When Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott discovered that she would be welcoming TWO baby girls with her recent twin pregnancy, she was obviously concerned with how her 4-year-old firstborn, Eisele Kaye, would adjust to having to share the limelight. And what she did to make sure her oldest girl knew how she would always be special in her own way is one of the coolest things we’ve ever seen.

Hillary threw Eisele a big sister party.

The prettiest member of Lady Antebellum (Sorry Charles and Dave, but y’all are more in the “handsome” category), shared an adorable post about it on her Instagram page. Hillary, who is also a big sister to Rylee, explained that on Feb. 3, a dozen strong women in Eisele’s life, including her grandmother — country artist Linda Davis — and a few of Eisele’s friends that are sisters, too, came to celebrate the beauty of that sibling bond.

But plans were almost derailed!

Hillary writes, “Initially, we hoped that E & B [newborn twins Emory and Betsy] would’ve waited to arrive until after this party, but God had other plans. So while @chrisetyrrell (Dad of the Year!) kept the twins in our bedroom, Eisele and her friends played and danced and ate pancakes.”

She went on to say, “Before we sat down for brunch I made a quick (and tear-filled) speech telling her how proud I am of her and the amazing girl she is. Strong and kind. Patient and loving. Not just to her new sisters, but to everyone she meets. My mom @lindadavisnashville prayed a prayer of thanks for all in attendance, and that we would walk with Eisele giving her the encouragement and love that she needs in this new season. It was only a couple of hours, but it was an absolutely perfect day. Thank you to everyone who came to love on our girl, and the incredible helpers who made the day so beautiful … Thank you to my incredible husband for letting me host a party two days after we got home from the hospital (it was a miracle I felt up to it after a c-section), and thank you Lord for this incredible life and the amazing people that fill it with joy, love, and precious memories we will never forget. 💕”

Before the twins were born I was talking to a dear friend about Eisele becoming a big sister. She had the brilliant idea to celebrate her by having a Big Sister Party. So on February 3rd, 2018 about a dozen women in her life and a few of her friends who are sisters too, loved on our precious Eisele. Initially, we hoped that E & B would’ve waited to arrive until after this party, but God had other plans. So while @chrisetyrrell(Dad of the Year!) kept the twins in our bedroom, Eisele and her friends played and danced and ate pancakes. Thank you to my incredible husband for letting me host a party two days after we got home from the hospital(it was a miracle I felt up to it after a c section), and thank you Lord for this incredible life and the amazing people that fill it with joy, love, and precious memories we will never forget. 💕

Hillary’s dear friend, hit songwriter and new CMA Song of the Year nominee Nicolle Galyon, shared a photo of her daughter Charlie Jo, who is also a big sister, embracing Eisele, and wrote, “Friends don’t let friends become big sisters alone.”

It looks like Eisele is adapting just fine to her new role as protective big sister and soothing sibling. And we don’t expect that to change, even when Betsy or Emory want to borrow her favorite pair of jeans … in a decade or so.

Sweet big sister moment 😍
