Kid Rock prepares to say goodbye to his longtime assistant and friend getty

Saying goodbye doesn’t get any easier., no matter how many times you’ve said it.

Just days after losing his personal assistant to a tragic ATV accident, Kid Rock, who’s real name is Robert Ritchie, has to now find courage within himself to bid farewell to the person who he considered to not only be an employee, but also a friend and family member.

30-year-old Michael J. Sacha died on April 25, 2016. He was found deceased on Kid Rock’s outdoor property located on Knight Drive just north of Nashville, Tennessee.

According to an ABC affiliate WKRN report, funeral arrangements have now been made in honor of Michael and will take place in his hometown of Canton, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Sunday May 1, at the Rosary at McCabe Funeral Home, and a funeral procession will follow at the St. Fabian Catholic Church on Monday, May 2.

“He was a member of our family and one of the greatest young men I have ever had the pleasure to not only work with, but also to become friends with,” said Kid Rock in a statement, “I know I speak for us all in sharing my deepest condolences to his family.”

Due to the unexpected loss of his friend, Kid Rock just recently made the decision to back out of an April 29, Music Awards ceremony located in Detroit, Michigan. He was to receive an award for that event.
