Kenny Chesney’s new “Wild Child” video just might be even more gorgeous than he is

Kenny Chesney’s new video for his new single “Wild Child” debuted on this week, filled with angelic visions of the breathtakingly beautiful land he loves the most.

Hawaii serves as the perfect backdrop to the song that tells the story of a woman who is not about to let life’s reins hold her down from all that she wants to experience during her days on God’s green earth. And, while Chesney duets on the song with singer and friend Grace Potter, it’s actually friend/songwriter Gretchen Roles who scores the leading role in the video.

“Maybe it’s sitting on a mountain, going back to school, traveling the world,” Chesney said in a press release about the video, which was directed by the amazing Shaun Silva.

“But it is a song about any woman so hungry to engage life, she spends her days trying to taste it all… You don’t have to be a gypsy to be a free spirit, but just someone so in love with life, you will never get enough. To see a woman like that is a pretty amazing thing.”

Come April, Chesney will find himself in Texas with a slew of Academy of Country Music nominations under his cowboy hat for Song, Single and Video of the Year for the multiple week chart-topper “American Kids.”
