War Eagle wrapped its arms around Mr. Rocky Top on April 22 as Kenny Chesney grabbed a guitar and settled into Auburn University’s Lambda Chi fraternity to get things rolling for his big tour kick-off.

In an impromptu pop in, Kenny and a couple dozen of his new best friends hung out to play some music.

The groupe group sang along to songs like “Keg In The Closet” and, of course, “American Kids.”

When it was over like any other guy at a fraternity party, Chesney hung out, only unlike most guys just hanging out, he signed autographs and took photos with pretty much everyone in attendance.

Chesney was in town to kick off his 2016 Spread The Love Tour at Auburn’s Jordan-Hare Stadium. In addition to being the first country act to ever play the school’s football stadium, it is also the inaugural Music and Miracles Festival to raise money to fight cancer.

Chesney took to his Facebook page after the fact to document the impromptu performance.
