Kenny Chesney couldn’t have picked a better time to release his new video for “Noise.” The song is all about how social media and mobile technology have introduced constant distractions into our lives, and that’s especially true in the middle of the presidential election.

That’s why you see Donald Trump and President Obama popping up in the middle of a bunch of rapid-fire images that any modern American will find very familiar.

In the clip, Kenny performs amidst a constant barrage of images of celebrity culture, Facebook messages, selfies, gratuitous advertising and political talking heads. It’s an intense visual representation of the number technology has done to our heads.

Kenny says, “We have all these devices that have changed our way of thinking, it’s rewired our brains and now we’re lost it seems in this cloud of trying to communicate and multitasking all this addiction to communicating in all this addiction to information. It just seem like it’s gotten so loud, and so busy.”

“Noise” is the lead single from Kenny’s upcoming studio album, “Some Town Somewhere,” due out July 8.
