Kenny Chesney just released “the most authentic song” he’s ever been a part of Facebook/Kenny Chesney

Kenny Cheney was being extra mysterious on his social channels a few weeks ago, and earlier this week we found out it was because he was about to release new music. And on March 24, he did just that.

In an exclusive Facebook Live broadcast, the leader of the No Shoes Nation sat down to introduce his new song, “Noise,” and the story behind it.

“New music brings new energy and I love that,” proclaimed Chesney. “It’s one of the most authentic songs I’ve ever been a part of just how we’re living our everyday lives right now.

“I was at home one day and noticed all these talking heads on TV,” he continued. “They started talking over each other and they keep turning it up. One talks over the other, and next thing you know they’re all screaming. It gets so loud nobody can hear anything, and it just becomes white noise to me.”

Not just TV either. Factor in texts, social media and other distractions, and it just becomes overwhelming.

“We’re so trapped in our phones and this addiction to information. We’re all so addicted to communicating and within all that, we’re all trapped in our phones and we start multitasking,” he said. “If there’s a message it’s try to get yourself out of that cloud. Get out of your phone because believe it or not, once you get out of your phone there’s a whole world out there that’s really beautiful and full of really great people that you can communicate with.”
