Kenny Chesney and the legendary Randy Travis just joined forces for this ultimate onstage surprise Instagram/@_combatbeard

On June 4, 2016, when fans flocked to Kenny Chesney’s Spread the Love Tour concert at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, little did they know that they were in for an epic surprise.

Not only were Dallas Cowboys owner, Jerry Jones, and NFL football players Jason Witten, Travis Frederick, Zack Martin and Dan Bailey in the audience, but the legendary Randy Travis was also there.

Needless to say, we would’ve killed to be there that night!

But, Randy didn’t just watch the concert from the sidelines. In fact, he joined the “Noise” singer onstage while the band played the No.1 hit “Diggin’ Up Bones” off of Randy’s “Storms of Life” album.

In the clip above, Kenny turns his attention away from strumming on his guitar to put an arm around his buddy. And together the pals share the microphone for a few lyrics. While Kenny took that moment to shine the light on Randy, it was the “Three Wooden Crosses” singer’s face that lit up the most.

His was literally grinning from ear to ear!

Aside from that performance, Kenny also shared a few kind-hearted words about his inspiration saying, “Randy Travis paved the way and brought back country music. Like George Jones, he is an original and the real deal. It was great bringing him out for all the fans to see the man who brought so many young people to country music back in the ‘80s.”

This isn’t the first time that a country star paid homage to Randy. In fact back in April, Blake Shelton also took the time to praise Randy, who’s been recovering from a stroke since 2013.

What a joy it is to see Randy gracing the stage these days!
