Just a day after saying “I do” with her now husband Morgan Evans, Kelsea Ballerini gave us a little peek inside the hours that followed their Dec. 2 ceremony. And it’s surprisingly real.
Kelsea took to social media to give us a little peek at her first day of marriage, and the delighted bride sounds more like one of us than she does one of country music’s hottest new stars. In her first tweet, the morning after her beach wedding, she wrote, “Woke up to the hottest human I’ve ever seen wearing a ring and ate leftover wedding cake for breakfast. Hello marriage 😻”
Cake for breakfast? Come on, you’ve done it, too. Think of it as a really fat pancake.
Later in the day, Kelsea shared a G-rated post on Instagram of the couple getting cozy on the beach with tiki torches and a fire flickering in a sand pit on the beach. She captioned it simply, “Mr. & Mrs. Evans.”
As previously reported, Kelsea and her singer-songwriter husband, Morgan Evans, tied the knot in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
While we’re waiting for more photographs and details about the wedding, we do know that Kelsea’s dress was a lace gown by Berta. So after a little of sleuthing, it looks like this is the frothy bit of goodness that Kelsea wore.
It has been an incredibly busy year for both Kelsea and Morgan. Kelsea released her sophomore album, “Unapologetically,” on Nov. 3, and her Aussie husband signed a record deal with American label Warner Music and released his first U.S. single, “Kiss Somebody,” in July. That means both of the talented artists were busy touring as well in 2017 to help promote their new projects. In fact, Kelsea was on two different tours this year—Thomas Rhett’s “Home Team Tour” and Lady Antebellum’s “You Look Good World Tour.”
Kelsea is now on a much-deserved holiday break until 2018. Then the new Mrs. Evans kicks off her first headlining run, “The Unapologetically Tour,” on Feb. 8 with opener Walker Hayes. Her handsome hubs, though, still has dates in December and then hits it hard in 2018, starting again in January.
Kelsea also has the Rare Country Awards coming up where she is nominated for Female Artist of the Year, and it’s up to you to decide the winner. Vote now at RareCountryAwards.com until Dec. 13. Winners will be revealed during a livestreamed concert event on Dec. 14 in Nashville.
