Kelsea Ballerini is headed to the big screen … with her music!
While we would love it if the gorgeous superstar decided to try acting one day, we’ll table that discussion for later. For now, Kelsea took to Twitter to announce that she’ll have a song featured in the upcoming film “The Star,” a heartwarming and humorous animated look at the greatest story ever told: the first Christmas.
And she’s in great company, too.
Kelly Clarkson, Kris Kristofferson, Kristin Chenoweth, Anthony Anderson, Christopher Plummer, Patricia Heaton, Keegan-Michael Key and other big names are also part of the film, which stars Tracy Morgan, Tyler Perry and, wait for it: Oprah!
We can’t even, either.
Fellow country singers Jake Owen and Jessie James Decker are also part of the soundtrack, along with Casting Crowns, Yolanda Adams, A Great Big World, Saving Forever, Kirk Franklin, Zara Larrson, Fifth Harmony and the queen of Christmas herself, Mariah Carey.
Kelsea’s song, “Children Go,” will be available for download on Oct. 13. You can get the whole soundtrack on Oct. 27.
“The Star” hits theaters Nov. 17, and is definitely on our must watch list.
November is going to be a big month for Kelsea. Her album, “Unapologetically” is set for release on Nov. 3. If you’re worried about snagging your copy, don’t panic—you can pre-order it now to make sure you’ll have it memorized as soon as possible.
