The late and legendary Elvis Presley, who would be 82 years old on Jan. 8, continues to inspire other artists through his music. So much so that entertainers continuously pay tribute to him by covering some of his songs in their shows.

And, one such artist who has covered the icon before is none other than superstar Kelly Clarkson.

It all happened back in 2015 during a concert in Connecticut, as part of Kelly’s Piece by Piece Tour. The “Since U Been Gone” singer put her spin on the King of Rock and Roll’s timeless hit “Can’t Help Falling In Love.”

“This was one of my favorite songs since I was a kid,” Kelly told the audience before launching into the romantic ballad. “I think everybody has heard it since they were a kid.”

In this video, Kelly graces the Mohegan Sun Arena stage in a sparkly dress. Two acoustic guitar players pick along to her pristine vocals, as she effortlessly glides through each song lyric showing off her beautiful runs and amazing range. Toward the end of the classic, Kelly hits an impressive high note, and the crowd cheers loudly.

Of course, Kelly has slayed plenty of covers throughout her career, but we can’t help but fall in love with this one! Pairing her powerful voice on the heavenly lyrics to “Can’t Help Falling In Love” is pure gold!

We’re pretty sure Elvis would’ve loved it!

Happy birthday, Elvis Presley
