We’re sending up big thoughts and prayers for Kelly Clarkson today. An undisclosed illness forced the pregnant Clarkson to make a last-minute cancellation at a charity event Wednesday night in Nashville.

The singer was set to introduce her friend Shane Tarleton at the Musicians on Call Rock the Room concert. Tarleton was being honored for his work with the organization, which brings music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities.

Though Clarkson couldn’t make it to the show, her pals Reba McEntire and Martina McBride stepped in to meet and greet the VIP guests in Clarkson’s place.

Clarkson has been open about the struggles she had while pregnant with her first baby, River Rose. At one point, Clarkson was hospitalized for nausea and vomiting about 25 times a day.

She told radio DJ Elvis Duran, “It was not good.”

Of course, Kelly Clarkson was forced to cancel the remaining dates on her Piece by Piece tour due to polyps on her vocal cords on top of her pregnancy. We’re just hoping the singer can get some well-deserved R&R as she gets ready for baby number two.
