Kelly Clarkson’s sweet daughter River Rose may only be three years old, but, it sounds like the precious princess has already found her one true love.
And he’s no prince charming, y’all.
If you recall, Kelly, who is also mother to 1-year-old Remington Alexander, brought both of her children to Disneyland in Anaheim, California, earlier this year. While there, she shared a couple of snapshots on Instagram of the trio’s magical visit to the theme park.
The first photo, which you can see below, shows Kelly and the kids posing with Jessie the Yodeling Cowgirl from “Toy Story 2” and “Toy Story 3,” and her caption highlight’s son Remy’s hilarious reaction.
But, it’s in the second photo where we can see that little River seems oh so smitten with a certain costumed character.
As you can see in the picture above, River, who dons an adorable pink tutu, lovingly stares into the eyes of Gaston. Yep, you read that right. The little darling is swooning over the handsome, yet egotistical fictional character from Disney’s animated feature film, “Beauty and the Beast.” Gaston, meanwhile, keeps one hand wrapped around the smiling girl, and puckers up his lips as if he’s about to plant a smooch on her face.
“Oh great, so she’s into bad boys at the age of 3 🙄 this should be fun #Disneyland,” Kelly, who will coach on Season 14 of NBC’s “The Voice,” captioned the photo in a reaction to her daughter’s expression.
Now Kelly has confirmed her daughter’s crush on Gaston in a new interview with “Access Online.” She also revealed that she’s a tad concerned about her child’s attachment to the Disney character. After all, Gaston turns out to be a villain.
“Oh my gosh! I’m so worried, y’all,” Kelly told correspondent Scott Evans, as she sat beside her newly-name “The Voice” team adviser, Hailee Steinfeld. “The foreshadowing that my three-year-old puts out is so scary. There are so many moments, but like she is in love with Gaston!
“Literally he walked around the whole park with her, like, literally, the whole park, just holding hands,” she continued. “She was just like, ‘Gaston held my hand.’ I was like ‘You’re done, ma’am.’”
But Kelly, don’t you worry. We have a feeling that River will eventually grow out of her love for bad boys.
