Kelly Clarkson is a pro at keeping it real.

The 35-year-old superstar, and mommy to daughter River Rose and son Remy Alexander, took matters into her own hands when one body shamer insulted her on Twitter.

The rude remark took place on the Fourth of July, shortly after Kelly posted a very meaningful tweet in tribute to the men and women serving in the U.S. armed forces.

“Thank u 2 every person in service 4 protecting all of us, and cheers to every person who fought for us to experience freedom & independence,” Kelly wrote.

“You?re fat, ” the Twitter troll replied.

Kelly, who has dealt with harsh criticism for her weight in the past, didn?t let the follower?s insensitive words ruin her holiday. Instead, she delivered what may be perhaps the perfect response to her bully.

“… And still f***ing awesome,” she wrote in reply.

Fans who saw the interaction quickly jumped to Kelly?s defense, and even gave her props for standing up for herself.

?Did y’all see @kelly_clarkson roast that troll just now?!? One fan wrote.
