If you want the truth, but kinda want it presented in a gentle and humorous manner, then Kelly Clarkson should be your best friend, although she might wince at the word “gentle.” In her younger days, when she was single and dating, that may not have been an accurate word to describe her.

In an interview with “Entertainment Tonight,” Kelly admits, “I was single for a very long time, and it’s hard when you’re in the limelight [and] you’re financially set and maybe they aren’t. It’s just a lot of intimidation. But she also gave a nod to her larger than life and very real personality. She continues, “I’m a whole lot of person, and I’ve dated people who are like, ‘You’re a lot,’ and that’s cool. I am a lot, but I thought, “‘Somebody is going to love that someday and it’s not you, so that’s fine.’”

Puh-REACH it sister!!!

Obviously Kelly is married now, but she didn’t tone down her personality to lasso her “cowboy.” She says he can handle her, and it may be because they are incredibly like-minded. In fact, neither one of them seems to be able to remember their wedding anniversary.

“We have forgotten two out of four of our anniversaries,” she says with a laugh. “But the great thing about us is we collectively do it. It’s not like one of us forgets and one of us remembers. We both epically fail.”

Ever the ray of sunshine, Kelly adds, ““We’re so happy we just forget. Every day is an anniversary.”
