Kellie Picker’s devotion to the troops continues with her latest gift CMA

There were many reasons behind Kellie Pickler’s decision to make a hilarious appearance on the June 26 episode of “Celebrity Family Feud.”

She did it because she loved the show and the chance to play alongside the people she loves the most, including team members Kyle Jacobs (Kellie’s husband), Courtney Pickler Howard (Kellie’s sister), Bradley Howard (Kellie’s brother-in-law) and Caroline Hobby (cast member of “I Love Kellie Pickler”).

She also did it because it had always been a game show that she used to watch with her dear Grandmother. “Growing up I was always watching ‘Family Feud’ with my Granny,” she recently told Rare Country. “If she was alive today, she would have absolutely loved seeing me up there.”

But most of all, it came down to having the chance to win money for the USO. In fact, her $25,000 worth of winnings from the game show will be going straight into the hands of the military service and support group.

“I’ve been working with the USO since 2007, and I have been proud to go on nine tours with them,” said Kellie, who also spent her Fourth of July playing a private concert for the troops stationed at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina. “I love that, by just being on the show, that I was able to raise both money and awareness for them. I get to meet a lot of service men and women and they are just so inspiring. They are a bright light in the world.”

And so are you, Kellie. So are you.
