In fact, Kane Brown’s endearing personality and killer country voice has earned him millions of fans and at the same time, respect from some of country music’s toughest critics. In a recent interview with Rare Country just one day before the 2016 Academy of Country Music Awards, Kane opened up about his surreal journey thus far.

“It’s been crazy,” Kane said, shrugging off the idea that he is country music’s ‘man of the hour’ despite the success of his first single, “Used to Love You Sober.” “Walking around during the radio interviews, I was seeing Keith Urban and Tim McGraw and Chris Young just walking around. I mean, I used to listen to these people on the radio. It’s just crazy seeing everybody.”

This wide-eyed take on the country music industry is endearing to almost all who meet him and who follow his incredible story on his ultra-successful social media channels.

“I started to put covers on Facebook and started getting fans who kept sharing it, and we got this viral fan base that was very hungry…and I can’t thank them enough because they got me to the ACMs today. It’s just a dream come true.”
