Talented siblings Julianne and Derek Hough recently took to the floor of “Dancing with the Stars” to take on the cruel reality of divorce through dance. Drawing inspiration from their own lives, they did it beautifully.

Dancing to the song “Unsteady” on the April 3 episode of the competition show, Julianne discussed what the piece meant to her.

“It’s good therapy, it’s beautiful,” Julianne added, according to “Entertainment Tonight.” “That’s what’s so amazing about dance, is being able to express that and have moments like this with our mom in the audience.”

“This piece is sort of a closure piece,” added Derek, whose parents got a divorce when him and Julianne were young.

It’s this sort of dramatic and emotional piece that most certainly will find it’s way in the siblings’ upcoming dance tour, entitled Move – Beyond — Live On Tour, which kicks off on April 19.

“Our show is a dynamic show,” shared Derek. “We have everything from emotional to fun to Latin to ballroom, contemporary to hip hop.”

“Schedule-wise, I’m going to be sleeping a lot, as much as I can, but I’ll be coming back every Monday [to judge],” Julianne told “ET.” “It’s going to be fun, I’m excited.”
