Joey+Rory reflect on the way friends, family and God have played a role in their lives This Life I Live blog

If you are a man or woman of faith, you know deep in your heart that you are exactly where you are meant to be at this very moment. Whether you are in the midst of joyful times or devastating times, you know that God has a set plan for your life, and there are no coincidences.

That’s just the way it’s meant to be.

In a Feb. 5 blog post, Rory Feek focused in on the importance of God’s plan when speaking of the role that the country duo’s manager, Aaron, has played in their lives. He spoke of all those coincidences and parallels that he has experienced alongside his cousin-turned-manager, from when they married to their shared experience of watching their dear wives deal with cancer.

And for Aaron, dealing with God’s plan when it comes to Joey and her cancer has been especially difficult.

“We are here because God wants us here,” Rory writes. “Aaron knows that. We all do. I think he’s cried more tears over what is happening right now than all of us put together. If you’ve ever met Aaron, the one thing you learn right away, is that he doesn’t hold back his emotions. No one gets more excited… or hurts more for others than he does. It’s one of the many beautiful giftings that God has given him.”

God gives many gifts, indeed.

It’s just tough when He prepares to take one of those true gifts away.
