It’s one thing to have a family member who is musically gifted. But when three people of the same blood share the same musical brilliance, it’s like coming across a goldmine.

And, the family band known as Edgar pretty much hit the jackpot.

If you’re unfamiliar with Edgar, they’re a group made up of husband-and-wife team Nikki and Ryan Edgar and Nikki’s teenage daughter, Jaslyn. Together, the trio’s been competing on season 11 of “America’s Got Talent.” And, time and time again, they’ve proven to have what it takes to win over America’s hearts.

On Aug. 30, the trio impressed judges during the first week of the semi-finals with a rousing rendition of Rascal Flatts’ “Bless the Broken Road.” And, it was truly beautiful.

In this video, Nikki passionately begins the first verse. But shortly after, Ryan steps in on acoustic guitar and delivers strong vocals. Before you know it, all three of them are singing in perfect harmony. And, it’s hard not to think that their raw talent doesn’t measure up to such groups like Lady Antebellum and The Band Perry.

“Bless the Broken Road” couldn’t have been a more fitting ballad for the family of three to sing. After all, they’ve come a long way to get up to this point. In an earlier episode of the reality TV series, Nikki admitted to landing a record deal at a Christian music label years ago. But, she got dropped when she gave birth to Jaslyn out of wedlock. Now, she’s been given a second chance at blessing others with her gift. And, who better to sing with than her daughter and husband, right?

“I want to thank you for your honesty in what you said about overcoming things,” said “AGT” judge Simon Cowell, “I think you are one of the most improved acts since we’ve begun the live shows. The lyric was perfect. The song is going to resonate. I am thinking I don’t want to lose you. I hope America picks up the phone and votes.”

Simon, we hope so, too.
