Jason and Brittany Aldean had one heck of a date night Instagram/@jasonaldean

Jason Aldean and his beautiful wife Brittany painted the town red … and black … and a little bit burgundy Jan. 8 when they traveled down to Atlanta for the “big show,” the National Football Championship showdown between Brittany’s Alabama Crimson Tide and Jason’s beloved Georgia Bulldogs.

And, as the previous sentence indicates, theirs was a house divided as each took sides for the rivalry game.

“We’re out here heading to the game. It’s raining! I know I look crazy!” she said in the video, in which she appears to be wearing a dishtowel on her head.

“Yeah you do,” Jason shot back.

“YOU look crazy!” Brittany joked.

“I look good,” Jason retorted confidently.

And Brittany was on the verge of losing her mind when Alabama missed those field goals …

Fellow Georgian and good friend Charles Kelley of Lady Antebellum was along for the ride, celebrating and having a blast with Jason and Brittany and the whole crew! Look at these two jokesters …

But that would be the last time Jason smiled that evening.

Sadly for Jason, Charles and Dawg fans the world over, the heart-stopping game of the year ended with a surprise play from Alabama in overtime, where the Crimson Tide clenched their fifth national football title in nine years.

Well, at least we know someone in the Aldean household was thrilled—diehard Alabama fan Brittany!

We wonder what the morning conversation was like for those two.

Hang in there, Jason … and be sure to call your buddy Luke Bryan. We know he’s heartbroken, too.
