Whether you adopted a sweet baby or went through nine months of pregnancy and then gave birth, you are no less a parent either way. And, for many people, whether you adopted a two-legged or four-legged baby, you can still have those parental feelings, right? In fact, there’s a whole new rising culture of proud “hu-moms” and “doggy dads” who take their pet ownership seriously.
Before Jason Aldean and wife Brittany became pregnant with baby Memphis, they had Jason’s two daughters, Keely and Kendyl, but they also had two fur babies. First came the sweet and chunky English bulldog that Brittany lovingly refers to as Mr. B, then came the fluffy and sassy Pomeranian, Mia. But, even before we learned that baby boy Memphis would be joining the family, Jason and Brittany shared the news that they had also adopted the adorable French Bulldog they named Boss.
Even with the arrival of Memphis in December of 2017, Brittany has made it clear that her fur babies are still as important to her as ever.
Now it looks like it’s time for brothers and sister to get to know each other, face-to-face.
We’ve seen in previous pictures that Mr. B, Mia, and Boss are all aware that another baby is in the house, but we haven’t seen any images of the foursome interacting. Let’s be real, though, a new human sibling could be a lot for all of them to process. But it looks like sweet little Mia has now met her baby brother, and even shared some sweet puppy kisses.
Between Memphis’ blue eyes and Mia’s boop-worthy nose, hearts are melting.
Fans responded to Brittany’s Instagram post with comments like, “Awwwwww. Puppy luvz” from @timonthykriss and “Mmmmm. Mia says, ‘Nothing like the smell of my new baby brother’s skin!’ 💙,” from @t.ethridge. Another fan, @jessicaalanaa_ writes, “I cannot handle the sweetness in this photo 😍😍😍.” We can’t either!
While we know that — counting the fur babies — the Aldeans are now a tribe of eight, and that Memphis is only a month old, we’re greedy, and Jason and Brittany made a beautiful little one. So, we can’t help but hope that maybe they will bring another two-legged addition into the family down the road.
Even if they don’t add another human brother or sister for Memphis, we’d lay money on the fact that Mom and Dad will likely let their baby boy have his own pup when he gets old enough to take care of it.
And speaking of additions, Memphis got two more new future playmates in the country music crib recently. Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott and her husband, Chris Tyrrell, welcomed their twin girls on Jan. 29, making them the first new arrivals of 2018 that we know of.
