Jason Aldean has two girls of his own, so his heart definitely goes out to the kids who have to be hospitalized in his hometown of Macon, Georgia. Jason backed those feelings up by hosting a big fundraiser in Macon April 21 at the city’s Grand Opera House.

Jason’s acoustic concert ending up bringing in more than $500,000 for Macon’s Children’s Hospital, Navicent Health. The facility “enhances the lives of children through patient care, research and education.”

Jason is very appreciative of how his city stepped up to the plate.

He says, “Pretty overwhelming the amount of money that was raised by the community of Macon last night, and I couldn’t be more proud to call it my hometown. Every single penny helps an organization that means a lot to me and I can’t thank everyone enough for helping these kids. Emotions were running high seeing all those faces familiar faces come out to support.”

Jason got another good bit of news this week. Tickets for his upcoming show with Kid Rock at Boston’s Fenway Park sold out just minutes after they went on sale. They’ll play the big show on Sept. 9.
