Jason Aldean just broke some major news about a must-see CMA Awards collaboration CMA

One of the coolest things about country music is the almost effortless love and respect that the older generations of country music seem to always have with the young guns. Not only do they understand each other’s places within the industry, but they also know they are sometimes better together.

Just ask Jason Aldean and Brooks & Dunn.

The two country powerhouses will come together during The 50th Annual CMA Awards to perform the Brooks & Dunn hit “Brand New Man.” “It’s cool to be here and get the chance to perform with these guys,” Jason says. “These are guys I came up watching on this show and watching these guys perform for years before I got to town. I never played ‘Brand New Man’ onstage with these guys, but I played it in the clubs for years.”

The other wonderful thing about seeing different generations of country music coming together is that most of the time – they are hilarious together.

“We were really excited when we heard Jason was going to come tune our guitars for us,” laughs Kix Brooks during the interview.

“I’m glad to be able to do it,” Jason laughs. “I’ve been around for 10 or 11 of these.”

They also share their wisdom.

“They go by fast,” Ronnie Dunn adds.
