Luke Bryan gets a little friendly and hilarious advice from pal Jason Aldean  Instagram/@linabryan3

The weather in Nashville is a little chilly and wet, and there are still a couple of months of winter left on the calendar, but Luke Bryan is thinking of better weather ahead and he wants to be ready for it.

That means new wheels for the country music superstar. Two wheels, not four.

Luke just shared a new photo on his Instagram page, and he appears to be showing off a new Trek bicycle. He simply writes, “Getting geared up. Let’s ride.”

If you recall, Luke spends a bit of his downtime on the road bicycling with his band and crew on trails in the cities where he plays concerts.

You may also recall that things haven’t always gone well for Luke behind the handlebars.

Luke’s pal, Jason Aldean, remembers. After seeing Luke’s post, he was quick to comment, “Hey bro. You might wanna put some training wheels on that thing this year. 😂”

Jason is, of course, referring to a pretty intense bike wreck that Luke had late in 2016 as he was kicking off his annual “Farm Tour.” In a one-line post on his Twitter feed, the Georgia boy simply said, “Broken clavicle. All good. Show is a go. I’ll just have my arm in a sling.”

A day later, he shared the excruciating x-ray showing just how bad the injury was.

Another day later, we got to see a more obvious injury on our boy, Luke.

And then, just one more day after that, and after his surgery, Luke shared a final tweet, revealing his new hardware—a pin in his shoulder.

Just like with horses, when you fall off of a bike, you have to get right back on, and, after a bit of healing, Luke couldn’t wait to start pedaling again. In fact, last year he had the opportunity to ride with seven-time Tour de France champion, Lance Armstrong.

And Luke’s wife, Caroline, also pulled out the Schwinn for a spin with her hunky hubs.

Of course, Jason is kidding about the training wheels — we think — but it probably wouldn’t hurt if Luke took a few extra precautions. We know he very wisely rides with a helmet and the appropriate garments, but maybe he could bubble wrap his … body.

Be on the lookout for Luke on the trails and on the stage when he hits the road for the “What Makes You Country Tour” on Feb. 16. The fun-loving singer-songwriter will be joined by his pals Sam Hunt and Jon Pardi, with special guests including Morgan Wallen, Carly Pearce and DJ Rock on various dates throughout the tour.

Be safe out there, Luke!
