We love a good reason to celebrate, and Jason Aldean gave us a good one on Feb. 14 that had nothing to do with hearts, flowers and chocolates.
Although we aren’t opposed to hearts, flowers and chocolates, we might rather have a slice of Jason’s daughter Keeley’s birthday cake.
That’s right, the Georgia-bred country star’s oldest daughter is turning 15 today, and Jason shared a beautiful photo of himself and his pride and joy sharing a warm father-daughter embrace. There’s also a sweet message that accompanies the black and white image. Jason writes, “Crazy how fast they grow up! I cant believe this one turns 15 today. Happy bday Keeley, We love you!! #valentinesbaby❤ #stayofftheroads #Keeley”
Whoa, wait! What? We spy a funny little dig at his soon-to-be-driving daughter. Jason adds the hashtag “#StayOffTheRoads” to his message.
Of course he’s teasing, and we’re sure Keeley knows that. But we are kind of tickled at the notion of Jason teaching his teenager how to drive.
A quick scroll through Jason’s Instagram timeline lets us all see Keeley and her younger sister, Kendyl, growing up over these last few years. We actually see Keeley as a little girl with her baby sister and dad well before their baby brother Memphis arrived in December.
There are also plenty of pictures to show that the girls adore their stepmom, Brittany, and have for several years.
Two years ago, Keeley celebrated her first birthday as a bona fide teenager on the road with Jason and Brittany, but it seems pretty obvious that Dad didn’t have to be around for the girls to have fun.
For Keeley’s birthday last year, Jason didn’t have the same kind of huggy photo he shared this year, but the sentiment of his post gave us some real insight into his beautiful girl. He wrote, “Happy 14th bday to one of the coolest and sweetest kids I know. Love u squirt. #keeley #valentinesbaby”
But we could also see the kind of amazing young lady that Keeley is now and is destined to be in the future when she helped Jason, Brittany and Kendyl with the gender reveal for Memphis last spring. She was so excited about her baby brother, she ran to Britt for a hug.
So, we feel pretty confident in saying that all of the parents involved in cultivating and nurturing the hearts and character of this young lady are doing an amazing job.
Happy birthday Keeley, and remember, keep your eyes on the road and your hands at 10 and 2.
