Jason Aldean blew the doors of his career wide open with this chart-topper YouTube

Jason Aldean had one plan when he was putting together his third album — blow the doors wide open. And that’s exactly what he did.

In the first few years of his career, Jason had made quite the name for himself. While nearly all of his singles had made it into the Top 10, only one made it all the way to the top. But that all changed on April 7, 2009, when he released his album, “Wide Open.”

Starting with the album’s first single,“She’s Country,” Jason charted three consecutive No. 1 songs. The final single from the album, “Crazy Town,” nearly made it all the way to the top as well, but stalled at No. 2. In fact, that momentum carried itself all the way through his next album, “My Kinda Party,” as the following six songs he released went to either No. 1 or No. 2 on the charts, too.

The album blew the road wide open, too. While he had previously headlined a tour with Lady Antebellum, “Wide Open” allowed Jason to really pack it up and go out on his own. Grabbing his buddy Luke Bryan and Ash Bowers for the ride, the Wide Open Tour was one of the most successful of the year.

There was no more question — Jason Aldean was a star.
