Jason Aldean and wife Brittany announce their baby boy’s name Instagram/@BrittanyAldean

The country music baby boom has been a lot of fun to watch. Country couples have found the most unique ways to announce that they were expecting, and the gender reveals just keep getting better. Now, Jason Aldean and his beautiful wife Brittany are sharing the name of their baby-to-be in a big way.

They’ve got his name in lights!

Drum roll, please (ba-da-da-da-da-da-da … work with me people).

Baby Boy Aldean’s name will be … MEMPHIS!

The couple shared a photo on Jason’s Instagram page that shows a bit of the Aldean’s nursery decor. It’s pretty cool to see that they didn’t go with the typical pastels or any kind of usual theme. The colors appear to be very masculine shades of gray, from a pretty dove to a dark charcoal.

It’s also worth mentioning that draped over the side of the crib is a Georgia Bulldogs jersey (Jason’s NCAA football team).

Brittany also shared a photo on her Instagram page. Apparently it’s baby shower day for the couple, and she’s showing off a precious personalized blankie for their little nugget.

Now, we aren’t sure why they chose the name Memphis for their future son. They could possibly be like Garth Brooks and are naming their child after his place of conception. Or it could be the Elvis connection. Maybe they just love the Memphis blues! One thing we know is that the city of Memphis is one of the most fun places in the United States.

We do need to point out that on the red carpet for the CMT Awards this year, Jason told “Entertainment Tonight” that they would not be naming their son anything crazy — “East, west, north, south, none of that stuff,” Jason said.

He was honest!
