Jason Aldean admits that he and wife Brittany are keeping a big secret Instagram/@BrittanyAldean

It won’t be long before Jason Aldean and his wife Brittany welcome their first child together.

The two, who in May announced they were expecting a baby boy, can’t help but imagine what life will be like when their little guy arrives.

“I’m excited to buy him some cool shoes and boots,” Jason, who is also father to daughters Keeley, 14, and Kendyl, 9, from a previous marriage, tells Chicago’s WEBG. “I can do all of his Christmas shopping at the Tractor Supply [Company,] so that’s awesome.”

The couple’s unborn child will be the first boy on both sides of their families. So, it’s no surprise that the country superstar is coming up with ideas on how he’ll raise his son. Luckily, he’s got some experience with teaching his kids to love nature and the outdoors.

“They go hunt sometimes and fish,” he says of his girls. “I’ve basically done all of the stuff with them that I would do with a boy. I wanted them to have an appreciation for the outdoors and things like that, too. So they have that, and that’s cool. It will be no different.”

So far, no due date has been announced for the baby, but Jason reveals that he and his wife have already decided on a name. However, we’ll have to wait to find out what it is.

“That’s one of the things were kind of keeping under wraps a little bit right now,” Jason said. “Actually, we had a ton of names, [but] there was only one where we both went, ‘Yeah, that’s cool.’ So there’s only one that we agreed on, so I kind of knew that was going to be the name early on, and I think that’s what it’s going to be. Coming soon.”

One more thing that Jason says is coming soon is new music!

“We’re actually working on a new album. Going in [the studio] here in a couple weeks to finish up most of it, so it’s exciting,” he said.
