Jake Owen was rushed to the hospital after experiencing a major scare when he crashed his motorcycle.
The freak accident occurred while the country star was on his way to play a May 26 show in Herrin, Illinois at the Herrin Festa Italiana.
Luckily for him though, the Florida native didn’t sustain any serious injuries, other than a major laceration on his forearm. And, if there were any doubts up to this point whether or not the “Eight Second Ride” singer is dedicated to his fans, his latest posts on social media says it all.
Jake Tweeted out to his beloved fans the caption, “Supposed to be headed towards Herrin, IL for show, instead headed for Emergency Room… I’ll make Herrin.. No worries. Show must go on.”
Talk about commitment!
The “Beachin'” star also provided updates regarding his condition, and when he was released from the hospital the 34-year-old wrote, “All good, and on the road to Herrin, IL… Some stiches and I’m back at it.. See y’all tonight. #iwreckedmybike”
The country crooner also shared a post-mending snap. And despite his gruesome gash, Jake had some pretty inspiring words to say. He wrote, “After stitches… Sometimes in life, you fall. That’s when you get back up again, and walk it off.”
What a warrior!
This isn’t the first time that Jake has suffered a wound. In fact back in 2012, he broke his collarbone while snowboarding, and then a year later he broke his finger during a go-kart race.
Jake is slated to release a new album this summer titled “American Love,” which drops on July 29.
