There is not a guy in this world who hasn?t used his guitar or musical abilities to get a girl, and as Blake Shelton discovered, old habits die hard.

When Blake found himself smitten with his fellow coach on “The Voice” Gwen Stefani, he used one of the oldest tricks in the book to get her attention. And Blake recently let us all in on that secret when he and Gwen took the stage at the iHeart Theatre in Los Angeles. And when we say all of us, that includes Gwen, too.

?You probably don?t even realize this,? he told her referring to their new duet, “Go Ahead and Break My Heart.” ?I only started this song to try to impress you.?

Gwen Stefani recently told Chelsea Handler about how the song came to be. Blake had started writing the song and sent Gwen the lyrics, then asked her to finish writing it.

As that new-love-smile spread across Gwen’s face before their performance, she could only respond with ?It worked. It worked.?

Say what you will about how they got here, you have to admit that true love looks good on the couple.
