Is Luke Bryan trading his tight jeans for a firefighter’s suit? YouTube

Say what you will about Luke Bryan’s music, but one thing we can all agree on is that the country superstar is as good-hearted a human being you’ll ever find.

As you know, leap year comes just once every four years and with it, we get 24 extra hours. As part of Chevy’s “Day It Forward” campaign, Luke wanted to use that extra day to do something nice for people who work hard to look after us.

Armed with lunch and a lot of laughs, Bryan popped in unexpectedly on the guys at Fire Station #2 in Franklin, Tenn. He spent the afternoon chatting with everyone but went out of his way to hang out with FF/Medic Joe Burwell who was recently involved in saving a joggers life. That was not lost on Burwell either as he was a big Luke Bryan fan long before today.

“I’m a big country music fan so I picked up on it pretty quick who he was,” said Burwell. “I recognized the face and the voice, he’s kinda got a familiar voice.”

The guys shared a meal, swapped stories and even got Luke to suit up in full fire gear.

Now we’ll just have to wait and see if Luke can make both the Billboard charts and the 2017 firefighter calendar.
