Is Darius Rucker planning to do a country collaboration with Adele? The Today Show
The Today Show

On March 11, Darius Rucker took a middle seat between Today show co-hosts Tamron Hall and Dylan Dreyer to answer a few fan fishbowl questions.

Needless to say, he got a little personal.

First, the “Homegrown Honey” singer shared a story about the most embarrassing moment that he ever had at one of his concerts. While waving goodby to his fans, Darius says that he stumbled into the monitor, fell over and broke his guitar in the process. He then said that all he could do was stand up and pretend that nothing happened.

Of course, we’re itching to see that footage, but Darius says it all happened before viral videos existed.

Grabbing another fan question from the bowl, Darius is asked if he is currently planning to collaborate with other artists.

“I’m in the middle of starting to make my new record now,” he says. “There’s a couple things that I’m thinking about doing, you know, with some of my friends in Nashville.”

When it comes to working with that dream artist though, Darius doesn’t hesitate.

“Adele, if you’re not busy, you can give me a call, I’ll do whatever you want to do,” he quipped.

Darius recently joined an all-star lineup to honor the legendary Kris Kristofferson. On March 16, he sang “Under Then Gun” as tribute to the veteran in Nashville during “The Life & Songs of Kris Kristofferson.”
