In her own words, Joey Feek opens up about the role the Lord is playing in her final days YouTube screenshot

“I’m tired, I’m weak, I’m worn. Help me here. Take me home.”

The words coming from Joey Feek’s mouth are from a well-known hymn, but also from the heart of a dear woman facing the final stages of her cancer journey. In a brand-new video released to promote Joey+Rory’s upcoming album “Hymns That Are Important to Us,” Joey opens up about how important hymns and prayer have always been to her, but especially relevant at this very fragile time.

“A lot of times when we don’t know what to say, you don’t know what to pray,” Joey says. “You don’t know how to begin and I think for me, that’s where hymns have come into play so much. Sometimes you just don’t know what to do but to pray. Sometimes just getting started is hard, but that’s where the hymns can help.”

“It’s just been amazing what these songs have meant to her, and in turn, meant to me, and in turn meant to thousands and thousands of people who are somehow following along in our journey,” added Rory, who lovingly held his wife’s hand throughout the video.
