Brad Paisley just played a high-dollar fundraiser in Nashville and got some help on backup vocals from two-time Oscar winner Sean Penn.
According to “The Tennessean,” the event was staged to help raise money for Sean Penn’s Haitian Relief Organization. Jewel, Sheryl Crow, “Nashville” star Connie Britton, and Big Kenny from Big & Rich were among the other stars at the event.
Brad entertained the crowd with an acoustic set, featuring his hits “Southern Comfort Zone” and “When I Get Where I’m Going.” Sean then joined Brad onstage to sing “Alcohol,” which was funny since Sean admitted he was tired and a little over-served at the event. Sean apparently spent most of the song leaning against a wall with his back to the crowd.
The fundraiser was held at the home of jewelry designer Jonathan Arndt, who has designed several pieces for Carrie Underwood’s red carpet looks over the years.
