One look at the NBC promo for the upcoming season of “The Voice” – and one thing is abundantly clear: It’s business as usual over there.
Because while Blake Shelton continues to find himself in the often suffocating spotlight surrounding his recent divorce to wife Miranda Lambert, he must find a bit of solace within the comfort of that big red chair.
“Who is going to be that person this year that is going to change my life this year,” Shelton says of this year’s list of talents.
Shelton also looks like he is basking in the familiarity of his fellow coaches Gwen Stefani, Pharrell Williams and his good ole buddy Adam Levine.
“The connection between the coaches – there’s no way you can’t see it,” Shelton says in the promo.
Of course, no season would be complete without some good old Adam/Blake banter.
“I wish I could buy your version of that song,” Shelton tells a contestant.
“He has been saying that same old thing – ‘I wish I could download your version,’” Levine snaps back in his best Southern drawl.
“You should look at my phone,” Shelton continues. “There is a crap load of music from ‘The Voice.’”
“There is also a crap load of music from ‘Ghostbusters II’ man!” Levine fires back.
The new season of “The Voice” premieres September 21.
