Here's why we have a girl crush on Miranda Lambert and Gwen Sebastian this week

Y’all just never know where Miranda Lambert is going to turn up or what she is going to do next – – but it’s safe to say that no one expected the performance she put on this week in Nashville.

In what was considered to most as a surprise performance at Nashville’s famed Exit/In, videos showing Lambert with a darker do but lighter attitude began to pop up across social media and a wide variety of news outlets Tuesday evening.

The stripped down show went on for over two hours, with Lambert performing a slew of her biggest hits mixed in with covers from the Dixie Chicks, ZZ Top and Wilson Pickett.

Yet, it was Lambert’s version of Little Big Town’s current single “Girl Crush” that seems to be getting the most buzz the day after. Sharing the stage with backup singer and The Voice favorite Gwen Sebastian, Lambert went into an impassioned performance of the flirty hit…much to the delight of all those assembled there.

And hence, just another reason we all should be spending more time in Nashville.
