Not every baby has a mom as cool as Carrie Underwood, so you’d think Isaiah would be obsessed with watching his mom perform onstage, right?

That’s not quite the case.

Even though Carrie takes her baby boy on the road with her all the time, he’s not often around for show time.

Carrie explains, “Honestly, he doesn’t see me onstage very often. I go on after he goes to sleep. So, yeah. I need to find more opportunities where I sing during the day.”

There’s no doubt Isaiah would be fascinated with the bright lights and music going on during the show. On the other hand, Carrie thinks he might get frustrated since his mama couldn’t pay him much attention.

She says, “I don’t know what he would do, anyway. He’d probably be like, ‘I see her, but I can’t go to her. Why can’t I do that?’ I don’t know. Someday.”

On the other hand, maybe it’s good Isaiah doesn’t hear Carrie’s dark ballads like “Two Black Cadillacs” and “Church Bells” just yet. He might be just a tad too young for those tales of murder and deceit.

That being said, we can’t wait to hear Carrie sing those hits, along with her new single, “Dirty Laundry,” when she starts up the fall leg of The Storyteller Tour. She’ll kick things off with a show in Anchorage, Alaska on Aug. 31.
