It’s always cool when somebody sings “Happy Birthday” to you. But, it’s even cooler when a humongous crowd belts out the song for you while your standing onstage.
Just ask Brett Eldredge’s mother, Robin!
The doting mama, who just turned 60 years old, got quite the surprise on Oct. 26, when her country singer son brought her out onstage during his set at the Ak-Chin Pavilion in Phoenix.
Brett put his arm around his mother’s shoulder, and walked her up to the front to get a closer view of the audience. He then led the enthusiastic crowd in a spirited version of “Happy Birthday.”
Robin was so moved by her son’s sweet gesture that she couldn’t stop smiling and giggling. After the serenade, she gave Brett a big hug and blew out the candles on a cake that was brought out for her.
As it turns out, Brett wasn’t done making his mom’s birthday special. After the onstage surprise, he delivered “Happy Birthday” to her again on his tour bus, while she and her son’s sleepy dog, Edgar, wore party hats.
“It was my beautiful mothers 60th birthday today … she looks amazing, right?” he captioned the video that was posted to Instagram. He added, “@edgarboogie partied too hard!”
Brett is currently on tour with Luke Bryan on the “Huntin’, Fishin’ and Lovin’ Every Day Tour,” which runs through November. In 2018, he’ll hit the road as a supporting act on Blake Shelton’s “Country Music Freaks Tour.”
