Even the great ones can get overworked.
In a late night photo posted on Instagram at about 1 a.m. CST on April 26, Chris Stapleton informed his fans that he was going to be postponing his show on April 26 at the Santa Barbara Bowl. He said, “I truly regret having to do this & any inconvenience it may cause.”

He wrote, “I’ve lost my voice and am headed to the doctor first thing in the morning.” So far that’s all we know, and at this point, the status of any of his other shows is unclear, including his April 27 show in Los Angeles or his gig at Stagecoach Festival on April 30.
Dear fans & friends, I am torn up about having to postpone tomorrow night’s show in Santa Barbara. I’ve lost my voice and am headed to the doctor first thing in the morning. Please know we are working hard to find the earliest possible date we can to get back to you guys. I truly regret having to do this & any inconvenience it may cause. Thanks for your support & understanding. You guys mean the world to me. Sincerely, Chris
While we don’t know anything about this medical condition, one thing we do know is the voice is a muscle and it can get overworked just like anything else. We all hope he gets better fast but take your time Chris, we’ll all be waiting for you right here when you get back!
